Standard 4.3

Demonstrate knowledge of practical approaches to manage challenging behaviour.

The following document is the criteria sheet for the essay response to the scenario of an unruly student questioning our authority within the classroom. Th document has been annotated to show the areas in which this develops my understanding of the teaching standards.

 

This task had me analyse the reasons behind lack of engagement, preventative methods and solutions to the behaviour. It asked me to call upon resources on behaviour management techniques to form an action plan that would end in a favourable outcome for the student, the class and the teacher.

 

The following image shows the grade received and the comment from the marker outlining that I completed and passed the task and the grade I received.
